Hard drives are not included with the R_volution NAS Storage. The system supports up to eight 3.5-inch SATA hard drives. Storage capacity depends on the installed drives and selected RAID configuration.

The R_volution NAS Storage must be paired with a compatible R_volution Media Player for playback on each TV.

The R_volution NAS Storage is a powerful 8-bay Network Attached Storage system designed to securely store and manage large music and video libraries throughout the home. It provides a scalable and reliable storage solution for movies, TV shows, concerts and music, with RAID protection and multiroom streaming capabilities.

The NAS Storage features eight hot-swappable 3.5-inch SATA drive bays and supports hardware-based RAID configurations including RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 and JBOD. RAID 5 provides protection against a single drive failure while allowing the system to continue operating without interrupting playback.

The R_volution NAS Storage is designed for high-capacity media collections. A single system can store up to approximately 192,000 music files, 19,200 SD video files, 3,200 HD video files or 2,000 4K UHD video files, depending on the installed storage capacity and content size.

For premium home theater applications, the NAS Storage can store movies, concerts and TV shows in uncompressed quality, supporting 10-bit video, HDR, BT.2020, HEVC and 4K/8K Ultra HD content. It also supports advanced audio formats including AC-4, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Atmos, DTS-HD Master Audio and DTS:X.

The integrated R_video Media Center automatically identifies and organizes movies and TV shows, providing covers, wallpapers, synopses, technical information, actors, directors, release dates, ratings and genres. Users can also edit information, organize categories and manage their media library directly through a compatible R_volution media player.

The R_volution NAS Storage supports multiroom video streaming to up to three zones simultaneously when paired with R_volution media players. Each player can operate independently, allowing different movies or TV shows to be played in different rooms.

For music enthusiasts, the NAS Storage supports high-resolution and lossless formats including DSD, WAVE, AIFF, FLAC and ALAC. It also supports multiroom audio systems and can work with compatible platforms and devices such as Roon, Sonos and Bluesound.

The R_volution NAS Storage is plug-and-play and can automatically be detected by compatible R_volution media players connected to the same local network. It is also suitable for yachts, private planes, motor coaches and other environments where a locally stored media library is required.
