Marantz CD 5005

The Marantz CD5005 incorporates Marantz’s own HDAM-SA2 output buffer, an upgraded DAC and new CD mechanism for improved performance all round. Low-power standby and auto stand-by modes make the player more efficient. It plays CD, CD-R and CD-RW discs as well as MP3 and WMA files.

The Marantz CD5005 is designed to deliver breathtaking musical from compact discs, thanks to technology borrowed from the more expensive CD6005, including the centre-mounted CD drive. This is one CD player that significantly outperforms its price point!

The Marantz CD5005 features a range of reference class technologies including Marantz’s exclusive HDAM-SA2 (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) discrete circuit topology along with the high-resolution CS4398 D/A conversion system, which delivers up to 192 kHz/24 bit resolution.

The centre-mounted CD drive mechanism is securely fastened to the chassis to minimize vibrations, and the digital audio circuit block is housed in its own shielded subsection
